This weekend I set out in search of a new fragrance, for my sexy yet sophisticated moods. Something floral, and light. Nothing really in mind, I figured I would know it when it tickled my nose.

I spent some time at Nordstrom on Saturday sniffing more than my share of fragrance samples and made note of a couple that peaked my interest. Versace Signature and Daisy by Marc Jacobs spent the rest of the day on my wrists. I spent the next few hours running errands and occasionally smelling my wrists. They are different, yet a bit similar and I really liked both so I decided to sleep on it.

Sunday I headed over to Macys to try again with a fresh nasal cavity. Whether it was the fresh scent or the whimsical bottle, my search ended with me walking out of Macys with a gift box set of Daisy by Marc Jacobs.

Marc Jacobs describes Daisy as “Fresh and feminine, with a playful innocence.” That is an accurate description. It is sexy and flirtatious, yet at the same time soft and innocent. The floral scent really shines with top notes of violet and strawberries and a hint of jasmine, and just a touch of vanilla.

While Daisy came home with me today, I have a hunch that Versace will find a place on my vanity soon.
