How to Shop for Jeans

A staple in every woman’s wardrobe, jeans are a standby fashion item for every woman who wants to look fantastic in a matter of moments.

The perfect pair of jeans can create curves where there are none, or play up the assets you already have. They’re also incredibly versatile - wear them as-is, or dress them up with a camisole and sexy heels.

But how do you shop for the perfect pair of jeans? I’ve compiled some key information to help you find the right jeans for you, based on several factors including fit and your budget.

Designer Styles
Some women swear by designer jeans - even though they’re pricey, they’re totally worth it because the material is usually of higher quality, more durable and the colors don’t fade as quickly. If designer jeans are within your budget, there are some great brands out there that you simply must try. My favorite? True Religion jeans, like this pair. The dark vintage wash looks great with everything, and the denim is soft, flexible, and looks like it was literally tailor-made to your body type.

Classic Styles
Designer jeans not in your budget? Perhaps you simply prefer a classic pair (trends come and go, anyway!) Whatever the case may be, look for a classic style that’ll last you throughout the year.

This classic 5-pocket style jean looks great with everything, and at less than $30 a pair you can afford to buy a few different pairs in various rinses.

Fit
Of course, even if you find a pair that looks great on the rack, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll look great on you!

You’re going to have to try on several different pairs of jeans when you shop, and in various sizes as well. Even if you think you know your size, designers have different sizing requirements. While you might fit a 6 in one brand, you may need an 8 in another.

Once you find the perfect pair of jeans for you, snatch up a few pairs if you can afford it. There’s nothing worse than finding a great-fitting pair of jeans, only to have it be discontinued later when you need more!

Shopping for jeans isn’t necessarily an easy task, but finding the perfect pair makes it all worthwhile. Happy shopping!
