Just when you thought the over exposed Lauren Conrad would grant us a reprieve from her presence, she smacks us in the face with plans for a new clothing line at Kohls. Last month word got out that her fashion designing would be on hiatus for a couple of seasons to revamp her line. In the words for her people, “In light of the economic climate, Lauren has decided to completely rethink her line.” Good idea, since she expected people to shell out over $200 for a basic tank dress or sateen dress, and most of us were too wise for that. The new line for Kohls, dubbed “California Casual” is targeting a more budget conscious shopper with prices for the line to range between $20 to $60, just a fraction of the price for her Lauren Conrad Collection line sold via Macys and Bloomingdales. And when I say sold, I mean offered for sale.
The new collection will initially include clothing but may expand into footwear, jewelry, handbags, intimates and sleepwear at a later date according to a press statement.
Anybody have her overpriced collection? Anybody have it and love it? Let me hear about it!
